How Do We Handle Installations
Synthetic Teak decking provides you with the look of an elegant hardwood deck without any of the usual maintenance. PlasDECK looks and feels just like high quality natural teak decking. No stripping, sealing, oiling or varnishing. PlasDECK is not a porous material, dirt, debris, red wine and fish blood simply wash away with common detergents. This teak can even be pressure washed.
The textured surface provides superior traction and even provides more traction when its wet. However, the absolute best thing about PlasDECK is the price. At about 60% of the cost of traditional hardwood, this surface is not just for yachts.
Be assured your new PlasDECK teak will look beautiful for a long time. We are so confident that PlasDECK warrantees its material for five years. Thats longer than any competing product on the market. The Automotive UV inhibitors used in PlasDECK are the best that money can buy and ensure that your deck will hold up in sun and marine environments for years after our competitors fade away. Michigan Teak will measure your boat, build templates and create your custom mats for you. Once the mats are built we dry fit the the mats on deck. Sand and Fit as needed and adhere your new decking with our marine grade adhesive creating the perfect seal and a great new look for your boat.
Also available through Michigan Teak are PlasTEAK Swim Platforms that are constructed from boards that are made out of 100% recycled plastic. They are UV stabilized solid boards, so the color runs through each piece of lumber. These plastic boards will not absorb water, paint, stains or oil. They are resistant to gas, solvents, insects and waterfolw stains. The material will not splinter, chip, crack, warp or rot.
How to Measure Transoms for Full Custom Platforms:
1. The Length of the Platform: Which should be 3 to 6 shorter on each side than the full width of the transom. This will avoid hard knocks in tight places.
2. The Projection or how far out it should be. The general rule is that the platform can only go out as far as the bracket goes down the transom. See Figure 1
3. The Transom curve or camber to which the platform is to fit.

This marine flooring is as NO Maintenance as our exterior decking. The rugged vinyl is waterproof and durable. This product comes in a 6 foot wide sheets and they are cut to even foot lengths. The teak lines run the length of the roll.
